The start of UMFF 2009 is fast approaching, and we are thankful to the Most High for continuing to provide and manifest greatness in all of our lives.

Media is such a critical tool for determining world views. With the theme, "Changing the World, One Story at a Time," UMFF 2009 accepts the challenge of providing a collection of films that speak to various life experiences of people of African, Asian and Latino descent, as well as social issues that need attention.

With FREE film screenings all-day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we invite actors, filmmakers, writers and the public to come and experience a media movement!

Highlights:

Thursday, October 15, 2009 - Pre-Festival Events - 3-N-1 Tour, UMFF Happy Hour.

Friday, October 16, 2009 - Free Film Screenings, Comcast Short Films On Demand, Workshops and Panels, Opening Night Celebration.

Saturday, October 17, 2009 - Free Film Screenings, Panels, Workshops, Youth Screening Series, Art Exhibits, Spoken Word Artists, Urban Mediamakers Awards.

Sunday, October 18, 2009 - Free Film Screenings, The Decline of Black Media Brunch, Latinos in America pre-screening presented by CNN, UMFF 2009 Closing Concert with Gritz & Jelly Butter!
